Trekking around Gokyo Lake is an alternative to the more popular Everest Base Camp Trek. However, this route does not continue to Everest Base Camp. This route has been specifically created for trekkers who are keen to view Mount Everest in Nepal but lack the necessary mental and physical preparation to travel to a high altitude like base camp. Trekkers proceed up the slopes of the "Sherpa kingdom" of Namche bazaar. Gokyo hiking offers a better view of the Himalayas than Kalapattar rising over Gorek Shep, although being at a somewhat higher altitude. The Ngozumpa Glacier is the biggest in the Nepal Himalayas, and the ridge above Gokyo has four 8,000-meter peaks (Everest, Cho Oyu Glacier, Lhotse, and Makalu).
One of the most striking sights in the Khumbu Region is the view of the enormous ice ridge between Mount Everest and Cho Oyu, Lhotse, and Gyachung (7922m). The crossing of Cho La, a 5420m-high pass into the Khumbu Region, as well as using the Island peak that can be climbed concurrently with it to get a parallel view of the Ama Dablam peaks, are just a few of the alternatives for further exploration and high-altitude hiking in Nepal. You will descend to Lukla with your knowledgeable Nepalese sherpa guide and porter after completing your alpine Gokyo trip, where you will have your goodbye meal. The next day, take a flight from Lukla to Kathmandu to complete your trip over the Nepalese Himalayas. If you are not feeling comforted with this itinerary or if you want to customize this package on your timeline or budget, please feel free to contact us Email to aitnepaltreks@gmail.com
